Welcome to the Vermillion Area Dance Organization (VADO)
Studio located at 19A South Plum Street, a donation by Sanford Vermillion.
Studio VADO is dedicated to the world of dance. Its purpose is to promote and support creation and expression through dance, and to expand the audience to which dance is made available. VADO is also dedicated to making dance accessible to everyone in the Vermillion area.

VADO will cancel classes due to inclement weather when Vermillion School District cancels.
VADO will hold classes on all holidays or school out days that are not listed above.
New Class: Total Barre was started by the STOTTS/Merrithew brand, a Pilates based company that has been developing safe and responsible exercise for 25 years. Total Barre emphasizes the correct biomechanics of movement combined with the power of music to increase strength, flexibility, stamina and dynamic stability. You will be receiving not only the safest and most impactful barre program available- you will also have fun doing it! This is a high energy and dynamic fitness class integrating elements of Pilates, dance, cardio, and strength training. It is fully expandable and adaptable to all ages and training! No experience required! This class is taught by a STOTTS/ Merrithew Qualified Total Barre Instructor.
Announcing New Free Ballet Class for VADO Students
VADO is now offering a “Corps de Ballet” class! Beginning November 8, this class will meet on Sunday evenings from 5-6:30 pm. Students will learn the beautiful art of dancing in the corps de ballet and will perform in the spring recital. There is no charge for this class, but participants will need to purchase the costume. Anyone who is already enrolled in Ballet 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, Ballet Technique, or Adult Ballet is encouraged to join. See the studio manager to sign up!
The new fundraising opportunity to help defray some or all of the costume cost(s) for the 2016 spring dance recital starts on Monday, October 5th. All dance students will be sent home with an information letter and sales packet the week of October 5th through October 9th. Through this fundraising opportunity you have the opportunity to raise the costume deposit of $25.00 per dance class enrolled or the whole costume cost of $50.00 (child), $60.00 (adult) per dance class enrolled. Red Wheel is a company out of Aberdeen, South Dakota who offers a variety of frozen food products, such as pies, cheesecakes, burritos, beef enchiladas, French bread pizza’s, French braid pastries, gourmet bread and muffin batters, caramel sticky rolls, etc. All order forms and money are due to be turned in no later than Friday, October 23rd to VADO. Your customers must pay for the product when they order with the checks payable to VADO, cash is also acceptable. Red Wheel will deliver the products to the 4-H Building, 515 High Street, on Monday, November 16 h. You must pick up the products sold on this date from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. The items are frozen so it is important to pick them up ASAP.

Tap, Jazz, and Ballet shoes are available for purchase at a reduced price at the Studio. Leotard/skirt exchange will begin this fall! Anyone wanting to donate unwanted leos or skirts can drop them off so they’re available to all who need them.
